MACHU PICCHU +

LOBITOS

RETREAT

10 DAYS/9 NIGHTS

August 29 - Sept 7, 2026

Led by Danielle, Jenna and Harold, we will move together from the ancient stone temples of the Incas, to the salt-kissed air of Lobitos over a 10-day journey between mountain and sea.

  • Ancient Incan ruins on a mountain with steep cliffs and a river in the valley below, Machu Picchu in Peru.

    Part 1: Mystical Mountains

4 Days / 3 Nights in Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu

Day 1, August 29th — Arrival (Travel Day)
We meet in Cusco and travel together into the Sacred Valley, where our home base—Hotel Villa Urubamba—rests quietly among the mountains. The week begins with a welcome ceremony and decompression yoga led by Danielle, easing us into the rhythm of the land and this first chapter together.

Day 2, August 30th — Ceremony + Sacred Valley Exploration
At sunrise, we meet our guide—a Q’ero shaman and dear friend—who leads us to a nearby apu for a Pachamama offering, a ceremony rooted in connection to Mother Earth, spirit, and each other. The day unfolds through off-the-path hikes, ancient ruins, long Andean meals, and time to wander local markets and crafts, moving slowly and in tune with the valley.

    Day 3, August 31st — Machu Picchu
We set off early for a guided visit to Machu Picchu, traveling by a glass-ceiling train that winds through dramatic mountain landscapes to the base of the citadel. From there, we ascend with a private guide to explore Machu Picchu. Time for quiet moments, sweeping views, photos, and optional light hikes through one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth.

Day 4, September 1st — Cusco (Travel Day)
After our time at Machu Picchu, we’re whisked back to Cusco for a final evening together in one of the oldest, highest, and most storied cities in the world. The following morning is open for cafés, markets, and wandering before we catch our flight north to Lobitos.

  • Landscape view of Lobitos, a coastal fishing and surf town in Northern Peru, surrounded by greenery, palm trees, and distant hills.

    Part 2: Lobitos

6 Days / 6 Nights:  Surf Oasis and Artisanal Fishing Community of Lobitos

Day 4, September 1st — Arrival (Travel Day)
Arrival into Lobitos with time to settle in and land gently. The day is open—walk the coastline, meet the crew, and ease into the rhythm of the north.

Days 5-9, September 2-6th - Flow for the Week
Our days move with the tides. Each evening we check conditions and shape the next day so you’re always surfing at the best windows. Expect consistent sessions in the water, supported by Harold, with space to build flow, confidence, and style.

Throughout the week, we layer in experiences: a skate session, a guided immersive experience, and time in an abandoned warehouse turned art studio.

Meals become their own rhythm. From a chef-led lunch and intimate dinners to a community NGO evening and a special night at La Onza, we gather often around food, stories, and connection. Saturday night, we wrap the week with a closing ceremony and celebrate together with a fiesta.

In between, there’s space to follow your own pace; rest, explore, or simply take it all in.

Day 10, September 7th - Closing (Travel Day)
One last surf if time permits, coffee, or a quiet beach walk before departures. You leave with salt in your hair and something a little deeper that stays.

Information on how to book flights to and within Peru can be found here.

WHERE YOU WILL STAY

Villa Urubamba — Sacred Valley
Tucked in the heart of the Sacred Valley, Hotel Villa Urubamba is a quiet retreat surrounded by mountains, gardens, and flowing water. Guests are welcomed with a traditional coca leaf infusion, grounding you instantly in the rhythm of the Andes. Mornings begin with birdsong and light over the peaks, while paths wind through colorful gardens and peaceful corners. At its center, a wood-floor yoga shala opens to the valley—creating a space for stillness, movement, and connection.

Buena Vista — Lobitos, Northern Perú
Family-run Buena Vista was one of the first hotels in Lobitos, and it still feels like home. Owners Claudia and Augusto Correa have poured care into every detail—from lush gardens and a private pool to Indonesian-inspired design and sweeping views from the Mirador. Proud parents of Olympic surfer Alonso Correa, they are a true pillar of the local community and widely respected across Peru. We’re deeply grateful to partner with them and share this special place as part of the retreat.
